Alexandra Cotoc has defended her PhD thesis in the field of sociolinguistics and Internet linguistics at the Faculty of Letters, Babeș-Bolyai University. The title of her PhD thesis is “Language and Identity in Cyberspace. A Multidisciplinary Approach”. Her teaching experience includes teaching English, French and Romanian at the private school Bridge Language Study House, Cluj-Napoca, teaching the course French for Specific Purposes, as well as the French practical course for undergraduate students, and the course English for Academic Purposes at the Faculty of Letters, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
She has also worked as a professional freelance translator.
